Hundreds of thousands of women and children face a horrific reality every day of their lives. Sold, kidnapped or tricked into a life of sexual abuse and exploitation, they have lost all hope of freedom. But if the church learns the truth and responds through prayer for justice and acts of justice, there is hope - His name is Jesus. If your heart is stirred and you agree that the injustice of sex trafficking needs to be exposed, please help us spread the word!

Here are a few things you can do help:

  1. Pray that God moves people's hearts to come to the screening
  2. Download the flyer and email it to your contacts, inviting them to join you at the screening on July 6th
  3. Join the Facebook event page, share it on your timeline, and invite your Facebook friends
  4. Use Twitter to tell people about the screening (eg. A child is trafficked every 30 seconds. But there is hope - watch Nefarious in Glasgow, July 6th. bit.ly/nefarious-glasgow #nefariousdocumentary)
  5. Share the Nefarious trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esHuKsVozI4) on Facebook, Twitter and other social networks, and include a link to the GHOP website for tickets (www.ghop.org.uk)
  6. Tell friends, family, your church, your small group and other contacts about the screening
  7. Ask your pastor/minister if you can make an announcement during a church service, play the trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esHuKsVozI4) and put an article in the church bulletin/notices (remember to include the web address for free tickets - www.ghop.org.uk)
  8. Get in touch with us if you would like printed flyers to distribute at church, friends etc.
  9. Share the link a few more times on Facebook and Twitter between now and the screening date

Call to 21 day fast, Nov 2011

21 days to fast and pray for revival in Scotland. 10th-30th Nov 2011.Scotland is a nation in desperate need of God - widespread immorality, abortion on demand, violence, drugs, fatherlessness, false religion and idolatry in various forms and a lack of the fear of the Lord - our numbness to this reality and lack of urgency is another sign of our need. 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Joel 2 give us the appropriate response - that His people should gather together, fast and pray, ask Him for mercy, and agree with His heart for His Spirit to be poured out and for the land to be healed.  He will do His part if we do our part.

"...if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land" - 2 Chron 7:14

"...blow the trumpet in Zion, consecrate a fast, call a sacred assembly; gather the people...and it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh..." - Joel 2

On St Andrew's Day, Wed 30th November, leaders will gather from around Scotland to Edinburgh for a day of prayer and fasting, in humility and repentance on behalf of the church and nation. We invite any believer in Jesus in Scotland to join with us for 21 days of fasting and prayer for the revival of the church and nation, beginning on Thursday 10th November until Wednesday 30th November, the day of the leaders' gathering in Edinburgh. Please pray for those leaders, that they would be undone as they encounter the presence of God, and awakened to the state of the nation and to the burning heart of God whose desire is to bring in a great harvest and prepare a bride for His Son.

What kind of fast should I do?

Some will do a full fast, having no food but only liquids.  Some will do a partial "Daniel" fast with small amounts of basic food with "no meats or treats". We encourage everyone to withdraw from entertainment for those three weeks and set those 21 days apart as a sacred time. Almost everyone can fast to some degree (with the exception of pregnant women, those with certain medical conditions or a history of an eating disorder - please speak to your doctor/pastor/leader where appropriate before fasting). To whatever level you set your heart to fast, press on and keep asking for grace (strength). Schedule time to pray and meditate on the word, even for short times, every day, and pray together with other believers as often as you can in that time. If you slip and break your fast, quickly ask God for grace to persevere, and keep going.

To help get you started, please download GHOP's Guide to Fasting and follow our posts on the GHOP Facebook page during the fast.
